The Sun is the closest star to the earth from an astronomical point of view, which is illuminated by its light. In this sense, it is not a planet but a star. But in falit astrology, it is a planet. The average distance from the earth to the Sun is 147.54 million km. It is a gas body whose diameter is 1.3297 million km. Its volume is  13 lakh times and its magnitude is 3 lakh and 33 thousand times from the earth. The nuclear temperature of the Sun is 15 million degrees C. Astrology considers Surya as a deity and a real God according to Vedic belief. Other names of the Sun are Bhanu, Bhasker, Ark, Tapan, Pusha, Heli, Martand, and Prabhaar. The sun is the Lord of the Zodiac Sign Leo. It is  Exalted in The Aries Zodiac sign at 10 degrees and Debilitated in The Zodiac Sign Libra at 10 degrees. The Sun considers Mars, Jupiter, and Moon as his friend. The Sun is neutral with mercury and consider Venus and Saturn as his enemy. In Indian astrology, the Sun is usually considered an unauspicious planet. Sun in the 1st House/Ascendant
