Navratri Story: Demon Mahisasur Vadh
The nine-day festival of Shardiya, also known as Shrad Navratri, takes place in the lunar month of Ashwin during the Sharad Ritu and concludes on the tenth day with Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami. This festival celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura after a nine-day battle, culminating in Vijayadashami.
